Small Group Mentoring Sessions

• 1.5 Hour group discussion sessions targeting ratio of 2 Mentor-Professionals to ~8 Students. 
• Mentors and Students will be asked to fill out surveys to assist with matching process, prior to sessions kick-off (links at bottom of page) 
• Mentors will be asked to provide short career bios, no longer than 1-page, and are encouraged to prepare a Pecha Kucha (flash presentation) to present at beginning of session.

3. Encouraged to have examples of daily tasks from current or past projects to bring up while screen sharing.  

• Students are encouraged to read their mentor bios in advance of shadow session and brainstorm questions. 
• SEAoNY Outreach Committee will handle pairing/matching student groups with mentor groupings based on availability and shared interests (availability first and foremost, shared career interests if possible). 
• “Typical questions” lists for both students and mentors will be provided to help facilitate discussions.
