Structures Impossible!

Join the Structural Engineers Association of New York for our

first annual Structures Impossible on Saturday, October 10^th! 

Saturday, October 10, 2020

10 am - 5 pm

Put your problem-solving skills to the test and compete in the day-long engineering challenge for a chance to win prizes. Teams will be tasked with producing a solution to a design problem that involves structural design, community impact assessment, and construction sequencing. Mentors will be periodically available to help with the design. All years welcome! The event runs 10am-5pm and will be held over Microsoft Teams.

First prize winners will receive modeling kits graciously

donated by Mola Structural Model! 

These interactive, physical models simulate the behavior of structures,

making concepts of displacements and deformed shapes more tangible.
