Leveraging Technology in Design and Construction

Walk-ins cannot be accommodated

May 3, 2018

8:00AM - 10:00AM

Center for Architecture, 536 LaGuardia Place

The central theme of this year’s roundtable will be the use of new technologies in the design and construction industry that are changing or may have the power to change how we as structural engineers work. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss four areas in which these changes are occurring:

  • Project Design Workflow
  • Existing Building Rehabilitation
  • Materials and Structural Systems
  • Construction Administration

A knowledgeable moderator will lead each of these four discussion topics, and attendees will have the opportunity to rotate between each discussion. All attendees will be encouraged to participate by sharing their thoughts, experiences, and ideas relevant to these topics with each other.

The moderators include:

  • Doug Gonzalez, LERA, for Project Design Workflow
  • Kevin Poulin, Simpson Gumpertz & Heger, for Existing Building Rehabilitation
  • Cristobal Correa, Buro Happold, for Materials and Structural Systems
  • Diana Zakem, Brookfield, for Construction Administration

A light breakfast will be served!
