Benefits of Specifying Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing for Structural Welding Applications
This lecture will be presented by Nagesh Goel
Phased array ultrasonic testing has become a standard test method in the piping and petroleum industries, but few engineers are aware of its structural applications, particularly in cases where radiography is neither efficient nor physically practical. While structural welding code does not yet contain provisions for Phased Array UT, it has been adopted by ASME Section V and referencing Code Sections and used with great success.
