This is the eighth year of a respected and internationally recognized survey on the topic of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in the profession of Structural Engineering. Key changes in this year's survey address emerging topics of Risk Management, Laser Scanning, Project Management of firms, recruiting of staff, Level of Development (LOD) in contracts and trends in best practices for model based analysis.

The overview of the trends the survey has tracked over the last 8 years will be presented in a webinar series with Part 1 beginning Thursday, December 17 at 10am ET.  This webinar is in collaboration with the National Institute of Steel Detailers (NISD) as part of their launch of their 2016 Design to Construction webinar series. The following webinar in January 2016 will review the survey results.
