SEAoNY is proud to announce the Call for Entries for the first annual SEAoNY Distinction in Structural Engineering Awards Program. SEAoNY is looking to distinguish those structural designs that exemplify innovation, creativity, and ingenuity. Entries are due by Friday August 1, 2008.

05.05.08: SEAoNY Call to Action: Commissioner of Buildings Qualifications
Proposed legislation has been introduced that would eliminate the requirement that the New York City Department of Buildings Commissioner be a professional engineer (PE) or a registered architect (RA). The bill is scheduled for a committee hearing on Wednesday May 7, 2008 at 1 pm in City Hall, so time is running out to make yourself heard.
