SEAoNY PROGRAMS COMMITTEE
The Structural Engineers Association of New York hosts regular programs around the New York City area intended to provide opportunities for educational, professional and social development amongst its members. The organization coordinates seminars and workshops to introduce structural engineers and related professionals to new technologies, structures, case studies and individuals that continue to shape the future of the construction industry. Events such as annual meetings, socials and recreational events encourage and strengthen professional ties between members and with others within the local community.
All events are organized by the Programs Committee, composed of active members of SEAoNY. In recent past, the committee has established numerous full-day training workshops on topics such as guidelines from the Applied Technology Council and in-depth masonry design. Attendance at most programs results in eligibility for Professional Development Hours (PDHs) and occasional AIA/CES Learning Units.
